Mumbai: After riding on the success of the popular OnePlus 2, Chinese smartphone giant OnePlus is all set to introduce its latest device with even more grandeur. The company will be launching the upcoming OnePlus 3 on a Virtual Space Station, dubbed the Loop.

While the OnePlus 2 was the first device that was launched via Virtual Reality Live stream last year, the company’s has touted that this year’s launch experience will be much better.

Pointing out the benefits of VR, OnePlus Co-founder Carl Pei, said, “We’re upping the ante. We believe we, and the tech industry as a whole, have only scratched the surface of what can be done in VR, and there are much more immersive experiences to be had.”

He also explained that the idea originally emerged from a fan video and shared his outlook on where OnePlus would be decades from now, having its headquarters in space.

Last year, the company had given away a total of 30,000 OnePlus Cardboard viewers to users for free.
