Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge allegedly burst into flames

It seems like Samsung’s troubles are far from over. The discontinuation of Galaxy Note 7 has already caused a huge loss to the company. Samsung’s Galaxy Note 7 battery issues witnessed in the last couple of months has also put Samsung’s upcoming flagship smartphone Galaxy S8 at risk.
Samsung claimed that the reason for the exploding devices were faulty batteries from one of their single suppliers. Samsung has recalled all the Note 7 devices sold and replaced them with safer ones.
Now new reports have surfaced that the Galaxy S7 Edge has exploded while on charge. The user claims that the device caught fire automatically while charging it using Samsung’s original charger.
The Galaxy S7 edge is not the only device to witness such problems, the battery of a Galaxy S7 Active started swelling while charging with the original charging pad. The smartphone didn’t actually caught fire, but the battery swelled up to double its size and broke open the rear panel of the device.
The Galaxy S8 is expected to be launched in February next year. However, the never ending investigation about the Galaxy Note 7 overheating problem seems to cause a delay in the development of Galaxy S8 by two weeks.
