Microsoft is revamping its Edge browser on Chromium. The updated browser is under testing and leaked screen-shots of the browser revealed a number of nifty new features.

According to The Verge, with Chromium at the base, Edge sports a look very similar to Chrome with a touch of Microsoft’s own animations and appearance to make it appear like a Windows browser.

Some of the features of Chromium version of Edge include read aloud accessibility option, dark mode, support for extensions, and a dedicated extensions page.

You will also be able to install Chrome extensions from the Google Play Store which work seamlessly with the revamped Edge.

More features will be available for sync in the coming months. Once out of beta testing, the Chromium-powered Edge browser will be made available publicly.
