Facebook has a treat for Potterheads
The social media giant celebrates 20th anniversary of the JK Rowling's fantasy franchise by putting intuitive animations for social posts.
The Harry Potter franchise is celebrating 20 years of its inception. JK Rowling published the first book of the series – Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, in 1997, which sparked a series of sequels and a movie franchise by the same name. Facebook has initiated a subtle yet fun activity to celebrate the anniversary – special animations on Facebook posts.
Specifically for posts related to the Harry Potter franchise, members will be able to witness intuitive animations on their timeline. You will have to type ‘Harry Potter’ or the names of the clubs from Hogwarts and witness the special animations. So, if you type Harry Potter, Slytherin, Hufflepuff, Gryffindor, or Ravenclaw, you will see the words posted in colours and a magical wand waved at the bottom. You can also click on the words again to make the wand do its wonders.
There’s no word on the validity of this easter egg from the social media giant. But, as long as it is there, it is a fun activity for the Potterheads to indulge in.
