Rise of the Tomb Raider now on PS4
The game will also contain Blood Ties, a new add-on which takes players back to Croft Manor, and Lara Croft's nightmare.
Rise of the Tomb Raider is finally making its way to the PlayStation 4 on October 11, 2016 in the form of a 20 year celebration edition. The game was launched in November 2015 as an Xbox One and Xbox 360 exclusive, while making its PC debut in January 2016. After delaying it for almost a full year from its Xbox release, Square Enix is trying to entice PS4 owners by including some worthwhile bonuses. This version will be handled by acclaimed porting studio Nixxes, and comes with all of the previously released DLC such as Baba Yaga: The Temple of the Witch and Cold Darkness Awakened.
It will also contain Blood Ties, a new add-on which takes players back to Croft Manor, and Lara’s Nightmare, in which you must defend her ancestral home from an undead invasion, because zombies are always a good addition to anything it seems. As a pleasant surprise, Blood Ties will be playable in VR mode via PlayStation VR. In addition, a new co-op endurance mode will be a part of this package, with special emphasis on raiding tombs and surviving the wilderness. Other extras include a new difficulty setting, iconic outfits such as Classic Lara and the Hailstorm Pistol from Tomb Raider III.
For everyone who owns the game on Xbox One or PC, co-op mode will be a free upgrade if you’ve purchased the standalone Endurance DLC. But if you already own the Season Pass, all of the 20 Year Celebration content will be available for free. Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration Edition will retail for Rs 3,499 and it also includes an art book for the game. It’ll be interesting to see how it sells on PS4 considering all the big games coming out this October including Mafia III, Battlefield 1, Titanfall 2, The Last Guardian and many more.
