Siemens to modernise energy management system of UPPTCL
It will enable UPPTCL to provide uninterrupted, high quality of power while ensuring sustained protection of the environment
Siemens today said it will modernise the energy management systems of Uttar Pradesh's transmission utility UPPTCL. Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition/Energy Management System by Siemens will enable UPPTCL to deliver value to their consumers by providing uninterrupted, high quality of power while ensuring sustained protection of the environment, the company said in a stock exchange filling.
UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav had inaugurated the state load dispatch center (SLDC) of the Uttar Pradesh Power Transmission Corporation Ltd (UPPTCL) in Lucknow. Siemens Ltd Managing Director and CEO Sunil Mathur said: "Siemens is delighted to partner with UPPTCL in their initiative to modernize energy management systems."
It said that as a part of the project, Siemens has stabilised the SLDC in Lucknow and five sub-SLDCs across different towns of the state for UPPTCL. "The system implemented caters to monitoring of the transmission grid of UP covering over 150 substations, state owned power generation plants, IPPs and caters to about 12000 MW of the energy demand," it added.
