The rating for the Model 3, which is lower priced than earlier Tesla models and aimed at giving the Silicon Valley automaker mass market appeal, was part of magazine's annual survey of new vehicle reliability.

If the Flamethrower wasn't exactly your thing, Tesla quietly introduced a limited edition surfboard worth USD 1,500. The surfboard won't take you to Mars or help you ride around the city on electricity, but is just a Tesla-branded surfboard in black and red colours, meant simply for surfing, Engadget reported.

Built with the help of lost Surfboards and board maker Matt Biolos, the Tesla-branded surfboard was quick to sell out as soon as it appeared in the store.

The board has been produced in a limited number with the counting ending at only 200 units in the attempt to maintain its exclusivity. The design of the surfboard is deeply inspired by Tesla cars with the overall design and carbon fiber touches. Tesla manufactures a group of premium electric car models and the surfboard is crafted to fit inside all of them.
