Google's Family Link lets you keep a tab on your kid's Android phone
The app will help parents manage what their kids use on their devices.
Google is very particular about making its ecosystem perfectly suited for kids so as to make the latest mobile technology more productive for the future generations. Their latest Family Link service is one of the ways to keep parents in sync with their children’s Android devices.
With Family Link, parents can keep a tab on their children’s Android device and govern the usage that they deem fit for their children. If you are a parent who is interested in making your kid’s Android device more productive, then you need to create an account with Family Link and enter your kid’s details. Once that has been done, the Family Link app will be automatically downloaded on your kid’s device. Following that, you will be able to govern the following things on your kid’s device:
Manage apps on your kid’s devices: You will be notified of all apps that your kid wants to download from Google PlayStore and you can decide whether that app should be installed or blocked from the device.
Manage screen time: You will be able to manage daily screen time of your kid’s device. Timely activity reports for time spent on individual apps will be sent to you as well.
Set device bedtime: You will able to lock your kid’s device after sleep hours or during study hours.
However, Family Link is compatible with limited devices. Your kid’s device should be a supported Android device (know here) whereas you should have any Android device running Android KitKat 4.4 and higher, and iPhone running iOS 9 and higher.
