Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 leaked renders hint a dual camera setup

The renders suggest that the Redmi Note 5 will comprise of a 16MP and a 5MP sensor on the rear along with an LED flash.

Rumours surrounding Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 5 having been doing rounds for quite sometime now. Earlier there were reports about an alleged device dubbed as the Redmi 5 Plus as the retail box of the device surfaced over the web.

According to a new report from 91mobiles, we now have an idea about the looks and specifications of the upcoming smartphone. The smartphone will flaunt a metal unibody design with a fingerprint sensor housed on the rear panel below the rear camera.

The leaked images reveal that the smartphone will pack a dual camera setup and a budget price tag. The renders suggest that the Redmi Note 5 will comprise of a 16MP and a 5MP sensor on the rear along with an LED flash. It will have a 13MP front facing snapper for selfies.

The smartphone is said to sport a 5.5-inch display with 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution complemented by narrow bezels. It is expected to be powered by Snapdragon 660 SoC paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of internal storage. It will be fuelled by a 3790mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 3.0.

There are rumours that the smartphone will come in three variants — 3GB RAM + 32GB storage for 1,200 Yuan (roughly Rs 11,800), 4GB RAM + 32GB storage priced at 1,400 Yuan (roughly Rs 13,800) and 4GB + 64GB priced at 1,500 Yuan (roughly 14,800).
