Mumbai: Facebook-owned Whatsapp has released a new update for Android and iOS users, which allows users to share documents seamlessly—a feature that was not available earlier.

The new update comes after a major iOS update that allows users to zoom videos by pinching and third party app support for sharing pictures and videos. The new update will allow users to send device-stored documents to other individuals or groups.

However, an individual can only send documents to another user, if he or she has also updated to the latest versions respectively.

On the updated version, Android users will be able to see a document icon under the attachment tab. Tapping on that icon will show users all locally stored documents.
