Rumour update: iPhone 7 to get wireless charging, USB Type-C

As far as the iPhone SE is concerned, it currently has just a 6 percent share in the United States, and statistics show that it's on a fast decline, with CIRP explaining that the bigger iPhones are substantially more popular right now.

Amid all the rumours and hype building around the iPhone 7, some more interesting rumours have surfaced. Based on the latest update, the Apple iPhone 7 is expected to sport a larger battery than its current flagships, the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, and also added a wireless charging feature. Apart from this, the iPhone 7 is also believed to sport a USB Type-C port as opposed to a Lightning port.

The ongoing rumours about the iPhone 7 includes: Apple is likely to release its new flagship in two variants- iPhone 7 with a 4.7-inch display and the iPhone 7 Plus with a 5.5-inch display. Leaked images suggest that the device will have quad speakers, two at the bottom and another two at the top for a better audio experience. The device is also believed to support two rear cameras. In terms of storage, Apple will reportedly drop its 16GB storage variant, and keep the 32GB variant as the base model, and a 256 GB variant as a top-end variant. The 256GB variant is also reported to have a price difference a whopping $300 more than the base variant.
