Moto G6, Moto G6 Play launched in India: Specifications, price

Motorola has launched its latest smartphone called Moto G6 and Moto G6 Play in India. Both the units run on Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box.

The G6 features a 5.7-inch full HD+ Max Vision IPS display. It is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 450 chipset clocked up to 1.8GHz and clubbed with up to 4GB of RAM/64GB onboard storage.

The device sports a 12MP+6MP dual rear camera setup and a 16MP front snapper. The company is touting the slow-motion video recording. Other features include a Bokeh depth-of-field Portrait mode, a Text Scanner mode and a Spot Color mode that lets users retain colour on only one object in an image. The device comes with a fingerprint sensor on the home button below the display.

The G6 is kept alive by a 3000mAh battery, whereas the other variant is backed by a 4000mAh battery. The Moto G6 Play flaunts a 5.7-inch HD+ Max Vision IPS display. Under the hood, the handset is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 430 SoC clocked up to 1.4GHz, paired with a 3GB/32GB configuration. The Moto G6 Play features a single 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front shooter for selfies.

The G6 comes at a starting price of Rs 13,999 for the 3GB RAM/32GB storage variant, going up to Rs 15,999 for the 4GB RAM/64GB storage variant. The G6 Play, on the other hand, costs Rs 11,999.
