Reliance launches Jio GigaFiber services with 1Gbps speed

The company has stated that it would commence these services in 1100 cities all over the country.

The most anticipated Reliance Jio Fibre services have been launched by the company at its 41st Annual General Meeting. The company has introduced Jio GigaFiber – the company’s FTTH home broadband solution. The company has stated that it would commence these services in 1100 cities all over the country.

The new Jio users who subscribe to the GigaFiber would even get a router along with the GigaFiber set-top box. Using this set-top box, subscribers will get a benefit to place calls to Giga TV devices across the country.

The company claims that this new ISP would be the world’s largest Greenfield fixed-line broadband service provider. With 1Gbps connection speed, the company would also be adding more services like enabling users to connect to VR headsets for 360-degree video content.

Users can register to the GigaFiber service on the company’s website or on MyJio app, post 15 August, this year. 

Along with the GigaFiber, the company has also launched its Giga TV services. This service will allow its subscribers to watch all the Jio entertainment apps like Jio TV, Jio TV call, Jio Cinema. The company provides a voice-enabled TV remote to access the entertainment apps on the Giga TV.

Apart from these services’ launch, Reliance has also introduced its new iteration to the Jio Phone called the JioPhone 2 and has also added Facebook, WhatsApp and YouTube support to the existing JioPhone as well.
