A new benchmark listing showing Nokia’s next flagship smartphone – Nokia 8 – running on Android O operating system has been spotted online. The device was spotted on Geekbench website codename ‘Unknown Heart’.
The Google’s latest operating system was first unveiled at Google’s I/O developers’ conference early this year. However, the version hasn’t debuted yet. According to reports, it would first be rolled out to Google’s own Nexus and Pixel smartphones, and then to other devices.
Apart from the OS, the device was also found to be powered Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 chipset, coupled with 4GB RAM. Nokia 8 is rumoured to feature a Quad HD 5.3-inch display with a resolution of 1440x2560 pixels, sport 64GB of memory storage option with microSD support and a dual 13MP camera.
The device is expected to launch on August 16 in copper gold, blue and silver colour variants. And although, the cost of the smartphone is yet to be officially announced, a Scandinavian retailer had claimed it will cost €589 (approximately Rs 43,415). However, the price tag is expected to be lower in other countries.
