Honor View20 India launch date leaked
The highly anticipated smartphone is gaining a lot of traction because of its punch-hole display and 48MP rear camera.
One of the more exciting handsets that will be launching in early 2019 is undoubtedly the Honor View20 as it will come with three world-first technologies. Honor had stated that following the success of GPU Turbo, the brand is now introducing a smartphone that features a 48MP rear camera, an All-View Display and Link Turbo. While the brand has shed light on the device’s features, the question begs — when will the handset launch in India?
As per a report by GSMArena, sources have informed them that the flagship smartphone will launch on January 29. The report states, Honor has already sent out "Save the Date" invitations for the local launch on January 29. And seeing how yet another source has been speculating that the Honor 10 Lite will be entering India sometime in January, as well, it is likely that the two will share the stage. Judging by Honor India's teasers, both will also be Amazon exclusives.”
Honor states that its industry-first 48MP rear camera with Sony IMX586 sensor is set to herald a new era of smartphone photography. The camera is the first to make possible high-definition 48 effective megapixels photography on a smartphone, delivering top quality images with more and better details even when zoomed in. This tech is coupled with AI computing power and graphic processing power enabled by the dual-ISP and dual-NPU of its home-grown Kirin 980 chipset that will automatically perform multi-frame image processing. This enables users to collate the essence in multiple photos taken by the 48MP camera and create a 48MP AI high-definition image.
The brand has also enabled a whole new level of full-view display experience with the introduction of the All-View Display. This world-first, in-screen front camera design, which is achieved by an extremely complex 18-layer technology stack that embeds the front camera in the display area of the screen, extends the display area to almost 100 per cent.
The handset also makes use of Link Turbo technology. Leveraging AI and big data technologies, Link Turbo automatically analyze users’ usage models and network conditions to switch seamlessly between Wi-Fi or 4G networks and boost downloading speed by simultaneously adopting both networks.
