OPPO F1 Review: So Selfie-ish!
OPPO F1 woos selfie lovers by beefing up the resolution and adding other picture enhancing features to its front camera
Selfie has become the word of the day and the front camera can no longer be called secondary. With the world getting more and more selfie-ish, smartphone makers are focussing on the front camera, sprucing up its megapixels count and adding more features. Chinese mobile maker, OPPO, has just launched the first selfie-focused smartphone in its F series -- the F1 -- in India.
The OPPO F1 comes with an 8 megapixels front camera. Usually pictures taken from this camera, when compared to the rear camera, lack quality and come out a little dark. Addressing this issue, the F1’s front camera sports a wide f/2.0 aperture lens and a 1/4-inch sensor, which is helpful for bright and clear selfies. The phone also comes with a screen flash to the front camera, for better image quality under low light -- this turns the entire screen into a big camera flash. There’s also gesture and voice control for easy camera operations. And the Beautify 3.0 software brightens skin tone and removes blemishes.
The 13 megapixels rear camera comes with an ISOCELL sensor and the phase detection autofocus. It features anti-shake optimization for blur-free images.
What stands out about the OPPO F1 is its design. Featuring a 7.25 mm body that weighs 134 grams, it is slim and sleek. Featuring a metal body with curved edges, this smartphone comes in two colour variants, golden and rose gold. The 5 inch display has a 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 4 screen.
The F1 is powered by the Snapdragon Octa-core processor with a 3GB RAM. It runs on OPPO’s Color OS 2.1, based on Android 5.1. It comes with a 16 GB internal memory, which is expandable up to 128 GB. The F1 is 4G enabled and also supports VoLTE.
Priced at Rs 15,990, the OPPO F1 is a feature rich smartphone for the selfie lovers on a budget, now available across retail outlets in India.
