With 2019 already underway, the tech industry is making some seismic shifts with brands already unveiling their portfolio for this year. While the Honor View20 and the Samsung Galaxy S10 are set to debut in the near future; excitement is already ramping up for Apple’s next flagship handset which will be introduced in the second half of the year. If Apple does intend to regain its position as a brand that’s worth considering, they need to seriously step up their game and launch a product that’s designed differently from their current flagship, the iPhone XS.

It appears that Apple is once again doubling down on the photography department as the first renders of the 2019 iPhone XI are anything to go by, the Cupertino-based smartphone powerhouse will be launching its iPhone with a triple rear camera setup.

As per a leak by the credible tipster, @OnLeaks, and backed by serial leakster @IceUniverse, Apple will be adding not just two but three rear cameras in the upper left corner of the 2019 iPhone XI. From the leaked renders, we see that two of the cameras are vertically aligned while the third sensor is placed under the LED flash. All three sensors and the LED flash are housed in a rectangular Huawei Mate Pro-styled module.

This leak falls in line with previous rumblings that suggested that Apple’s third camera would be a 3D ToF sensor. However, this is all hearsay and nothing concrete on the matter has been revealed yet.

@OnLeaks has claimed that this design for the 2019 iPhone XI is still in the Engineering Validation Test (EVT) stage and the final design may change closer to the official launch date.

In what may come as good news to some, Apple will once again be launching three new iPhones like they did last year with the iPhone XS/XS Max and iPhone XR and these new handsets will be direct descendents of the trio.

As of now its far too early to make any assumptions, but we expect these leaks to have some amount of credibility since both tipsters have an impressive track record regarding upcoming smartphones.
