Realme 5i with quad camera set-up, 5000mAh battery launched at Rs 8,999

Smartphone brand realme has announced the launch of its realme 5i, the newest edition to its realme 5 series of smartphones. At a price of Rs 8,999 the phone is said to have 4+64GB RAM-ROM combination with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 AIE octa core chipset and 5000mAh battery capacity. The first sale of the smartphone will begin from the 15th January 2020, 12:00 noon on e-commerce website Flipkart as well as its own website.
With a 6.52-inches mini-drop full display, the device has been described to have a sunlight display technology that shall make it pleasant to view under different conditions of lighting. The back meanwhile has a mirror polished rear shell which is fingerprint and Splash-resistant in design, all of these will be coming in colours Forest Green and Aqua Blue.
Further, the back shall have an AI quad camera setup – 119-degree ultra-wide-angle lens (8MP), main camera (12MP), portrait lens (2MP) and ultra-macro lens (2MP). This is slated to support 4k video, 240 fps slow motion, wide as well as ultra-wide angle shooting.
Inside the chipset shall be SD 665AIE along with a speedy LPDDR4X 4GB Ram + 64GB ROM. It is also said to have a dedicated micro SD slot supporting upto 256GB expandable storage, and will run Android 9.0 running with the ColorOS 6.1 skin. The OS will be updated to Android 10 and ColorOS 7 by May 2020, according to realme.
