iPhoneX faster than Note 9, reveals Geekbench test
The benchmark tests mainly cover the performance and display quality inspection.
The smartphone which many were waiting for has finally arrived – Samsung Galaxy Note 9. It’s priced at Rs 67,900 for the 6GB/128GB variant and fans must have already ordered it. However, before you go ahead and choose the phablet, you must have a look at the Geekbench test results which was carried out by Tom’s Guide.
The benchmark tests mainly cover the performance and display quality inspection and in this round, the major attractions were the Apple’s flagship iPhoneX, Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and, how can it be ignored, OnePlus 6.
The first test – Geekbench 4 was executed which examines the speed of the devices. Here, the 6GB variant of the Note 9 stood third with 8876 points while the iPhoneX acquired the lead with 10357 points. This was followed by OnePlus 6 which scored 9088 points and stood second in the tussle.
Despite being much cheaper, OnePlus managed to outperform Note 9. Both the phones are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset and the devices in the test were 6GB RAM variants.
The next test in which iPhoneX took the lead once again was 3DMark Slingshot Extreme 3.1 in which iPhoneX shone with 4994 points while the Galaxy Note 9 grabbed 4639 points. Surprisingly, OnePlus 6 won the battle over all the other phones with 5124 points.
Well, performance apart, display was the department in which Samsung nailed it with its Note 9. In terms of brightness and rendering beautiful colours, the Samsung flagship left all the smartphones much behind. It comes with 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display which proved better than any other devices.
However, these tests couldn't be claimed as the final verdict about the performance and how the Galaxy Note 9 performs in the practical world conditions isn't fully known yet.
