Were Google Pixel 4 renders made during Game of Thrones Battle of Winterfell?

The Google Pixel 4 renders are finally out and contrary to the leaked concepts that have surfaced before it, these new images have an overwhelmingly sombre finish. Pricebaba along with the globe’s famous tipster @OnLeaks has shared the first renders of the Google Pixel 4 and these images have an oddly dark feel.

Twitter has been at their utmost best regarding the quality of the images with one person claiming if the renders were made while filming the Game of Thrones battle. This is by far the most hilarious reaction to these dark images whereas others have asked if Apple had designed this handset as it features similar design traits to the upcoming Apple iPhone 11 and 11 Max as these images also show a square camera bump.

The new renders of the Google Pixel 4 don’t look like anything we have seen in the past and from the looks of it, it appears that Apple and Google’s designing team have worked together to introduce smartphones with similar design cues. Also, a point to note is that the camera bump’s position is identical to where Apple is rumoured to place it. And from these leaked images, it appears that Google will be adding not just two, but three rear sensors.

We also find the fingerprint sensor missing from the rear implying that the Pixel 4 will feature the industry-standard in-display fingerprint scanner. If this isn’t the case, the Google Pixel 4 could come with its own version of Face ID which would put it in direct competition with the Apple iPhone. There’s no headphone jack here as well, so it appears that Google is done and dusted with this much-loved port. From these images, we see two speaker grilles indicating that there could be no front-facing speaker this time around and it could make the chin a bit bearable in comparison to last year’s handset.

From the looks of it, Google could be retaining the huge notch as the earpiece’s position is rather low. Due to the sad image quality of these renders, this is all we can glean from it. @OnLeaks has a pretty stellar track record when it comes to leaks; however, these renders shouldn’t be taken seriously as they are based on Pixel 4 prototype schematics. There is a huge possibility that Google could have tested this design and scrapped it in favour of something more in tune with a 2019 design.

As for other features, the Google Pixel 4 is expected to come with a Snapdragon 855 chipset that’s paired with a minimum of 6GB of RAM which will gain it a lot of brownie points as they have never found the need to add it in previous generations.
