Indian telecom operator Reliance Jio is known to release an ultimate budget friendly 4G VoLTE feature phone in India, at a price of Rs 500. While media reports cite the phone could be expected to launch at Reliance Jio’s annual meeting on July 21, 2017, information revealing its specification, features, along with an alleged image of the device has been leaked online.
According to a report by Tech PP, the candy-bar designed phone features a 2.4-inch colour screen, dual-language keypad. The model comes with 512MB RAM, with 4GB storage option, which can be expanded up to 128GB using a microSD card. The processor which will power the phone is yet unknown. The model supports Dual SIM (mini SIM + nano SIM). One of which will support any generic 2G SIM, while the other one is dedicated for a 4G SIM, provided by Jio. Packed with a 2000mAh battery, the phone sports a 2MP rear sensor and operates on KAI OS. On the connectivity front, the device offers Bluetooth 4.1, USB tethering, GPS and more.
