Vivo to launch V5 and V5 Plus tomorrow, with 20MP selfie-camera

The Vivo V5 is expected to be available at a price of Rs 20,000, while the Vivo V5 Plus model may be priced at Rs 25,000.

The Chinese smartphone maker Vivo is all set to launch its new smartphones—the Vivo V5 and the Vivo V5 Plus tomorrow in India, officially revealing the specifications and features of the two models.

However, just a day before the launch of two smartphone variants, the models specifications and features have been leaked online.

According to leaks spotted online, the Vivo V5 smartphone will sports a 5.5-inch HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for protection. The smartphone is said to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 652 octa-core SoC with four Cortex A53 cores and four Cortex A72 cores. It is coupled with Andreno 510 GPU and 4GB RAM. The smartphone will offer 32GB of memory storage, which can be expandable up to 128GB using a microSD card. Packed with 3000mAh battery, Vivo V5 has been confirmed to sport a 20MP selfie-camera, while it is said to sport a 13MP rear camera.

Vivo V5 will also boast a 20MP selfie-camera, a retail packaging of Vivo V5 models spotted online revealed. Additionally, the media invite sent out by the company for the launch event reads ‘selfie evolution’, again hinting on the selfie-camera to be featured on the upcoming models.

The Vivo V5 is expected to be available at a price of Rs 20,000, while the Vivo Plus model may be priced at Rs 25,000.
