Xiaomi sells 1 million Redmi 4A units in 24 hours
Hugo Barra, Vice President, Xiaomi Global in a tweet claimed that the company sold CNY 1.2 billion in total sales.
China’s Singles Day sale took place on November 11 wherein leading Chinese e-commerce websites put many of the products on sale. It was such a hit this time that according to reports, Alibaba sold over $5 billion (approximately Rs 33,515 crores) in transactions in the first hour. Xiaomi however, made its own share of sales.
Vice President of Xiaomi Global, Hugo Barra tweeted recently, claiming that the company had made over CNY 1.2 billion (approximately Rs 1,270) in total sales. His tweet further mentioned the company had managed to sell over 1 million Xiaomi Redmi 4A units in the first 24 hours of the sale.
‘Xiaomi’s China SinglesDay 2016 stats: RMB 1.295 billion total sales; 1 million Redmi 4A sold (#1 selling smartphone),’ Hugo Barra tweeted.
With this, Xiaomi has managed to surpass last year’s record.
The Chinese smartphone making company in a MIUI forum post even revealed that they had sold CNY billion worth of devices in 17 hours and 2 minutes. According to Xiaomi, the most popular Mi devices during the China’s Singles Day sales were the Redmi 4A, Mi Router 3, Mi Note Book, Mi Pad, Mi Band 2, Mi Drone, Mi Air Purifier, Ninebot Mini and Mi Luggage.
