Sony's next smartphone maybe called Pikachu

Sony's latest smartphone as spotted on GFXBench, may be named Sony Pikachu.

Sony is rumoured to be working on a new smartphone. While the name of the smartphone is yet to be determined, if the rumours are to be believed, it maybe named Sony Pikachu.

News website Tecake published a report that claims that the smartphone was recently spotted on the popular benchmarking website GFXBench. According to the information provided on the website, the device may feature a 5-inch (1280x720 pixels) display; octa-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz along with Mali-T880 and may be powered by MediaTek MT6757. The smartphone may offer 3GB of RAM along with 32GB of internal storage. The speculated Pikachu smartphone is expected to run on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat.

On the camera front, the device may pack 21MP rear camera with Touch focus, HDR photo, flash, face detection and auto focus along with an 8MP front camera.

There is no official confirmation released by the company yet, but reports indicate that the device may be unveiled at the MWC event this month.
