Apple preparing launch of new products for next week
Apple is scheduled to hold an event in March and is expected to unveil a Red-colour variant of the iPhone 7.
Late last month, prominent Japan-based website Macotakara published an article which suggested that Apple is planning on holding an event towards the end of March wherein the company will be launching a new red colour variant of the iPhone 7, a 128GB storage variant of iPhone SE and new iPad Pro models. Now a new report by MacRumours confirms the rumours, indicating that Apple is, indeed, set to launch new products between March 20 and March 24.
The report cites unnamed supply chain analysts for the launch timeline and further notes that invites for the event haven’t been sent yet. Apple is known for sending invites at least 10 days in advance. The report doesn’t provide much clarity on the exact date of the launch. On the contrary, a recent Apple World report had claimed that Apple may be delaying the launch until April 4.
Apple is expected to take the wraps off a new Red iPhone 7, a 128GB iPhone SE and at least three new iPad Pro models: a 9.7-inch, a 10.5-inch and a 12.9-inch display sized devices. Apart from that, a refreshed 7.9-inch iPad mini is also expected to be launched alongside the previously mentioned products. The Apple Pencil 2 might also be in the offing, if the information provided by the Macotakara article is to be believed.
