Coolpad unveils Note 5 Lite in India for Rs 8,199

Coolpad has launched its new Note 5 Lite smartphone for the Indian market at a price of Rs 8,199. The device will go on sale starting March 21 and will be exclusively available on the e-commerce website Amazon.in.

The Coolpad Note 5 Lite sports a 5-inch HD w.5D curved glass IPS display with 720 x 1280 pixel resolution and 294ppi. It is powered by a 1GHz quad-core MediaTek SoC paired with 3GB RAM and Mali 720 GPU.

It is equipped with a 13MP rear camera with dual-LED flash, while there is an 8MP front facing camera also on-board. It runs Cool UI 8.0, based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It has a fingerprint sensor housed on the rear panel of the phone for added security.

The smartphone has 16GB of internal storage and is expandable up to 64GB using a microSD card. It also offers support for USB OTG. On the connectivity front the device 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0, 3.5mm audio jack, and Micro-USB. Other sensors include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor.

The Coolpad Note 5 Lite is fuelled by a 2500mAh battery that claims to deliver up to 200 hours of standby time. The company has also announced has over 380 service centres in India, across 29 states.
