Lenovo is gearing up to launch a big Android tablet, which is probably aimed towards media and entertainment enthusiasts. The ‘big’ tablet will sport a large 18.4-incher display with a QHD resolution and 4GB of RAM. The tablet will be powered by an Android operating system.
Benchmarking tests performed on devices give out the scores that are related to the performance of the hardware. These test results are usually clubbed along with the hardware specifications. And when a device is being tested before it is launched, the scores get leaked out, speculating the hardware that it is built on and preparing the tech-world for a new entrant into the gadget world. This happens to all phones and tablets that are secretly tested before they are finally unveiled to the world.
Lenovo’s new big tablet also went to the bench and GFXBench was listed with this new entrant. The scores revealed that Lenovo is preparing to launch a large 18.4-inch tablet with a QHD display and a resolution of 2560x1440 pixels. Powering the tablet is a Qualcomm snapdragon 650 or a 652 chipset with an Adreno 510 GPU and coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. The device is also speculated to be running Android Marshmallow 6.0.1. Additional specs revealed are an 8MP rear camera and a VGA video calling camera.
This is not the first large tablet that Lenovo is releasing—previously, the company launched a 27-incher tablet with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage under the name Yoga Home 900, and was powered by Windows 10. The rumour mill also reveals that the Tech World 2016 in June will show Lenovo launching a spew of Moto-based smartphones and the Lenovo Project Tango which has multiple cameras on a single phone.
