Honor launches Magic with dual camera setup and smart recognition
Highlight of the device is the intelligent sensor and recognition technology for added security.
Honor has unveiled its new Magic smartphone in China. The device will be available starting Friday and is priced at CNY 3,699 (approx Rs 36,000). The company is yet to announce the global availability of the device.
As for the specifications, the Honor Magic sports a 5.09-inch (1440x2560 pixels) Quad HD AMOLED 3D curved display and is powered by an octa-core Kirin 950 processor clocked at 1.8GHz paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.
The device runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with company’s own UI on top and offers dual SIM functionality. It is juiced by a 2900mAh battery with fast charging support. The Honor Magic claims to charge up to 70 per cent in 20 minutes of charging while 10 minutes of charging gives 40 per cent charge.
The smartphone is equipped with a 12MP dual rear camera with dual-tone flash. It also has an 8MP front facing camera. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, 3G, GPRS/EDGE, Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS/ A-GPS.
Another highlight of the device is the intelligent sensor and recognition technology for added security. The Wise Screen feature allows user to unlock their device just by looking at the display. The FaceCode intelligent recognition feature shows notifications on the phone only when it verifies the user’s identity. Honor has also integrated a Google Home like feature called Deep Think which provides information from the web or the device when the users press and hold home button.
