And since Microsoft themselves sell Samsung's Galaxy S8 through their stores, it is not hard to suspect that he possibly uses the S8 as his daily driver.

Samsung launched its much-anticipated Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus smartphones a month back. Twenty-five days after the device was put on sale, the company has confirmed that they managed to sell over 5 million of those Galaxy S8 smartphones.

The Investor quoted an unnamed Samsung official as saying, “Although, we cannot provide detailed figures, the sales are going smoothly around the globe. The combined sales already are beyond 5 million units.”

Considering that the smartphones are still not launched in China, Samsung seems to be doing good with its latest innovation.

To recall, Samsung reportedly sold over 7.2 million units of its Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge smartphones in Q1 of its availability last year. However, Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus is doing way better than its predecessor.

As noted by The Mashable, “One early report on Galaxy S7 sales claimed Samsung had shipped 10 million units in the first three weeks of availability. The difference here could be “shipped” vs. “sold.” Therefore, it is still uncertain what exactly the South-Korean tech giant is referring to when it comes to revealing the sale of their Galaxy S8 smartphones.

The company hasn’t clarified on this matter yet.

Samsung recently also confirmed that the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus smartphones had made the most successful pre-sale period in the company’s history.
