Nokia 8 price and release date leaked ahead of launch
A Scandinavian retailer has claimed that the Nokia 8 will hit stores on July 31, 2017 at a price of €589 (approx Rs 43,415).
Nokia’s marketing partner HMD Global is preparing to launch its first Nokia-branded smartphone from the second set of Android-powered line-up--Nokia 2, Nokia 7, Nokia 8 and Nokia 9, cited reports. According to a report by German website WinFuture, HMD Global is planning to launch Nokia 8 as the next-generation phone from the line-up.
Earlier rumours suggested that the Finnish firm would release at least two new models of Nokia smartphones, likely to be Nokia 8 and Nokia 9, in the second-half of the year. However, a Scandinavian retailer has claimed Nokia 8 will hit stores on July 31, 2017 at a price of €589 (approximately Rs 43,415). The price tag is expected to be lower in other countries.
Model-numbered TA-1004, Nokia 8 is rumoured to feature a Quad HD 5.3-inch display with a resolution of 1440x2560 pixels, powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, coupled with 4GB RAM, offering 64GB of memory storage option with microSD support and a dual 13MP camera.
The same processor said to be featured by Nokia 8 powers Samsung Galaxy S8 (priced at Rs 57,900) and OnePlus 5 (8GB priced at Rs 37,999). Also, with dual-camera setup, the phone is touted as a cheaper and an Android alternative to Apple’s iPhone 7 Plus (32GB priced at Rs 67,300).
