Samsung Galaxy M30 to launch on February 27 with a triple rear camera setup

The upcoming handset in the M-Series will feature a Super AMOLED Infinity U display.

Samsung Mobile India has taken to Twitter to officially reveal the Galaxy M30.

After officially unveiling their first handsets in the M-Series earlier this year, Samsung is all set to unveil the top of the line Galaxy M30 on February 27. Unlike the Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20 that came sporting an Infinity V display, the Galaxy M30 will come bearing a Super AMOLED Infinity U display. As the name suggests, the display here will be of the Super AMOLED variety and not the LCD display type that’s found on its cheaper siblings. And being the flagship of the bunch, it will come with a 6.4-inch display as per the advertisement.

Samsung Mobile India has taken to Twitter to officially reveal the Galaxy M30 and has let it be known that it will be announced on February 27. The time of the launch is scheduled for 6 pm IST and coincidentally it is being a held a day ahead of the Xiaomi’s new sub-brand Redmi and their Indian announcement of the Note 7.

From the teaser, we can glean some features that will come loaded in the handset. As per the image, we can see it that it will feature a triple rear camera configuration and a fingerprint sensor. Lastly, the Samsung Galaxy M30 will be sold on Amazon India as well as on Samsung’s official web store.

As of now, specifications of the Samsung Galaxy M30 aren’t available, but if rumours are to be believed, it will come with an Exynos 7904 that are paired with up to 4GB of RAM. We already know that it will come with an FHD+ display that measures 6.4-inches. Related rumours suggest that it will feature a 13MP sensor that has an F/1.9 lens, a 5MP secondary shooter with an F/2.2 lens and a 5MP tertiary sensor comprising of an F/2.2 lens. The Samsung Galaxy M30’s front-facing camera is believed to be a 16MP shooter with an F/2.0 lens. And as far as keeping the handset juiced up, the handset will come with a 5000mAh battery.

As of now, there is no word on the pricing but rumours suggest that it will start in the Rs 15K range and will go on sale within the first week of March.
