Xiaomi smartphones to get OLED display soon
LG is focusing on providing OLED displays to smartphones that have display sizes of 5-inch or less.
The world’s largest manufacturer of OLED display—Samsung and LG are all set to expand range of OLED markets.
Reported by ETnews, both Samsung and LG have already started producing OLED display aiming to expand the industry. While Samsung Display has started mass-producing OLED panels for the laptops, LG has secured Xiaomi as its first foreign customer in smartphone industry.
Based on the previous reports, the HP has recently released its laptops the sports Samsung Display’s OLED Panel. And LENOVO and Dell have also introduced OLED-based laptops and monitors, and are preparing for an official launch of its products.
Currently, LG is focusing on providing OLED displays to smartphones that have display sizes of 5-inch or less and then move on to laptops and monitors with sizes ranging between 10 to 20 inches.
In addition, the report also mentioned that LG display also intends to supply its Edge displays to Huawei too.
However, the report doesn’t specify which Xiaomi smartphone is likely to feature the OLED display.
