OnePlus 6 DxOMark score beats the iPhone 8 Plus, Samsung Galaxy Note 8
The OnePlus 6 has an overall score of 96 in the reputable DxOMark review.
DxOMark has recently put out their review of the OnePlus 6 and as per the noted camera testing portal, the OnePlus 6 scored a very respectable 96. This led it to beat the likes of the iPhone 8 Plus and the Galaxy Note 8. However, it did lose out to the iPhone X by a mere point.
If you are wondering what the weak spots of the OnePlus 6 were, it is in its video shooting capabilities. They state that though the camera while shooting videos is not bad, if you intend to shoot moving images, then there are other alternatives available. The handset scored 100 points on photography but just 87 for videos.
The camera on the OnePlus 6 excels where fast and accurate autofocus is concerned. It also has great exposure, vivid colours and an above average performance by the flash. However, it was noted that there is a bit of noise present in uniform areas and the camera at times loses the fine detail.
DxOMark concludes by stating, “With the OnePlus 6, the Chinese manufacturer has proven itself capable of producing a convincing premium-grade smartphone with some serious imaging capabilities that can compete with high-end models from more established brands. From our tests, the results from the dual-camera module are very good indeed, and on par with some of the biggest names in the industry, especially for still photography. Best of all, the OnePlus 6 is priced significantly lower than rival premium devices, meaning that consumers no longer have to pay a high price for cutting-edge technology and high performance.”
