Videocon has launched its Q1 V500K smartphone for the Indian market. The device was listed on company’s website. The company also recently launched its Cube 3 smartphone with a SOS button.

The new smartphone comes with 5-inch display with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor clocked 1.5 Ghz paired with 2GB of RAM.

It is equipped with a 13MP rear camera with autofocus, geo-tagging, HDR, face detection and night vision. It also has a dual LED flash. It also packs an 8MP front facing shooter with single LED flash.

It runs on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop OS and will be compatible with Reliance Jio 4G. It will be juiced by 3000mAh and comes with one year warranty and yet to start taking orders for the device.

The company also recently launched a ‘SOS-Be Safe’ emergency response app, that will send a distress message to the numbers added to the emergency list.

The app offers three features including ‘Walk with Me’ that lets users send an emergency alert to their close ones. The ‘Reach on Time’ feature lets user set location such as home or office and their usual travel time.

The ‘Alarm’ feature allows users to enable or disable the power button to send the distress message to emergency contacts. The SOS-Be Safe app also helps users find the nearest police station and hospitals.
