Chinese giant, Xiaomi will unveil its Redmi Pro smartphone at an event in Beijing on July 27. The company took to Weibo to confirm the name and launch date of the upcoming Redmi smartphone.

If the rumours are to be believed, the Redmi Pro will feature a deca-core MediaTek MT6797 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. It will run company’s own MIUI wrapped under Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The Redmi Pro is also expected to have a 4GB variant.

The device was earlier spotted in the Geekbench benchmark scoring 4183 on multi core test, while 1218 on single core tests. Some leaks also indicate that the device will not have a fingerprint sensor.

Leaked images of the Redmi pro confirm a metal unibody design with antenna bands on top and bottom of the phone. The smartphone will run on a Snapdragon 652 processor paired with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage.
