Popular old brands are making grand comebacks these days. We have already seen HMD Global’s Nokia make an impactful re-entry into the markets of the world. Inspired by that, Bullitt Group acquired licenses for Kodak mobile devices and has come up with a Kodak branded smartphone. Called the Ektra, the smartphone has been launched at a price of Rs 19,990, making it a mid-range contender.

The Ektra’s USP is its 21MP rear camera with an aperture of f/2.0 and a 13MP front camera with PDAF and an aperture f/2.2. The camera app on the smartphone comes with a DSLR-like 'Scene Selection Dial' that allows for adjustments to be made in real time through a variety of settings, including HDR, landscape, portrait, macro, sport, night-time and panorama.

Apart from the camera, the smartphone is built on a 2.3GHz deca-core MediaTek Helio X20 chipset along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. The smartphone sports a 5-inch 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution display and is powered by a 3000mAh battery. The smartphone will directly compete with the likes of Moto G5 Plus and Honor 8 Lite.
