Redmi Note 5 Pro users can now get access to Lineage OS 15.1 build

Redmi Note 5 Pro users can now flash their ROM with LineageOS 15.1 which is now officially available on the company's website.

Xiaomi's MIUI may be a sought-after OS but we all have our own tastes and some of you might not be connecting with the stock OS. If that is the case, Redmi Note 5 Pro users can now flash their ROM with LineageOS 15.1 which is now officially available on the company's website.

As brought to notice by XDA Developers, the LineageOS 15.1 possesses extremely less bloats as compared with the MIUI and the OS incorporates several new features. Similar to the Redmi Note 5 Pro, devices which optimise Quolcomm Snapdragon chipset, there are several after-market ROMs available for such devices. These upgrades lend a different feel and interface to the users than the stock OS. Apart from the OS, you must also download the TWRP for the Redmi Note 5 Pro which makes rooting your device easy and safe.

Boasting a 5.99-inch full HD+ display, the Redmi Note 5 Pro flaunts an  18:9 aspect ratio. For clicking pictures, you get a pair of cameras at the rear consisting of a 12MP and a 5MP sensor while the front panel houses a 20MP (with LED flash) camera for clicking selfies. The phone offers security via a fingerprint sensor placed at the back of the phone and it stays alive with the help of a mighty 4,000mAh battery.

The Redmi Note 5 Pro is based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC and along with the already offered MIUI 9 OS based on Nougat, you have the Android 8.0 Oreo version as well. The smartphone is available in two variants including 4GB/64GB and 6GB/64GB priced at RS 14,999 and Rs 16,999, respectively.
