From being the first one to master the touchscreen to now being the first ones to go with a full front display and eliminating the home button and fingerprint scanner, Apple has set a benchmark with its Anniversary Edition iPhone X this year. Apple states that the iPhone X will set the path for the future mobile phone.

A crack on the iPhone screen is a crack on your image! iPhone is more than just a telecommunication device. It’s a status symbol. Therefore, what will you do if your favorite iPhone, the latest models – iPhone 8 or iPhone X – drop?

Here’s a low down on what it could mean financially to repair the screens.

As per Apple, “when the glass cracks on an iPhone, there’s a big chance that the LCD can break too. In this case, you can usually see the dead pixels on the display and the device won’t respond to your touch.”

According to OneAssist Consumer Solutions, for an iPhone 8 Plus, this can be fixed by paying $29 or roughly Rs 1900, at any AppleCare+. Repairing the same outside of an AppleCare+ may cost up to $169 that is a whopping Rs 11000 only.

Likewise, for replacing the screen of an iPhone X at AppleCare+, one has to shell out $29. Whereas outside, it costs up to $279.

To recall, the iPhone X comes with all-glass and stainless steel design with a 5.8-inch Super Retina display, A11 Bionic chip with neural engine for machine learning, augmented reality and 3D gaming experiences, wireless charging and Face ID, delivering an innovative and secure new way to unlock, authenticate and pay.

The TrueDepth camera that enables Face ID brings Portrait mode with Portrait Lighting to the front camera for selfies with a depth-of-field effect and enables Animoji, which captures and analyses over 50 different facial muscle movements.
