ZenFone AR smartphone to launch soon, suggests ASUS
The firm recently took to its Facebook and Twitter pages to post a teaser video, stating that the smartphone is all set to land in India.
Google has notably been pushing AR/VR technologies with its latest Android OS. The most prominent introduction however, has been the ASUS ZenFone AR launch that took place at CES, 2017 earlier this year.
It appears like ASUS is expected to launch its Google Tango/Daydream compatible smartphone soon. The firm recently took to its Facebook and Twitter pages to post a teaser video, stating that the world’s first 8GB RAM phone is all set to land in India. While the exact date is still unknown, it has been assumed that they might launch the smartphone at the same time as OnePlus 5.
As for the specifications, the ASUS ZenFone AR packs a 5.7-inch AMOLED WQHD screen with 2,560 x 1,440 resolution (79 per cent body-to-screen ratio) with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 821 processor and houses a 3,300mAh battery. The dual-SIM device sports three Sony IMX 23MP rear cameras along with an 8MP front shooter. The smartphone — which comes in 64GB and 128GB ROM options — runs on Android 7.0 Nougat. The ASUS ZenFone AR further comes with exclusive ZenUI VR 360 with which users can create VR content.
