Samsung's rough and tough Galaxy S8 Active peeks before unveil
The S8 Active will be a successor to the last year's durability champ, the Galaxy S7 Active and will base on this year's Galaxy S8.
When the Samsung Galaxy S8 was launched in April, it immediately caught attention for its gorgeous display and flagship specifications. However, the S8’s beautiful glass-metal body is delicate can shatter in the event of a drop. Samsung was concerned with this and decided to give their flagship offering for this year a strong and durable body that can provide the frills of the standard S8 while sustaining drops and similar harsh situation, just like all its previous flagship devices. Therefore, the Galaxy S8 Active is about to come out and has been leaked by the official Samsung website.
Popular tipster Roland Quandt has tweeted a link to the accidental specification release of the Galaxy S8 Active before it was brought down. The leak shows the pre-installed app versions that will be available on the S8 Active out-of-the-box. The S8 Active will carry the codename of G892A. Apart from this, nothing else has been leaked.
Since the S8 Active will be based on the standard Galaxy S8, we can expect it to feature an Exynos 8895 chipset as standard or the Snapdragon 835 for the North American market. It is expected to have 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. There will be a 5.8-inch sAMOLED display, which we expect to come without curved edges. Rumours are also pointing out to a bigger 3500mAh battery.
