OPPO A5s launched with waterdrop notch and massive 4230mAh battery

OPPO has launched its latest budget-friendly smartphone in India, OPPO A5s. Built with a stylish design and a long-lasting battery life, the OPPO A5s features the year’s most popular waterdrop screen, dual rear camera and runs on a MediaTek Helio P35 chipset. With a robust 4230mAh battery, OPPO A5s leverages AI algorithm optimization to reduce power consumption, delivering exceptional long-lasting battery life. Priced at Rs 9,990, OPPO A5s comes in two variants: 2GB RAM + 32GB ROM. The 2GB RAM + 32GB ROM version is available in black and red colour went on sale from 20th April 2019. Meanwhile, the 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM will be available in green and gold colour in May 2019. The OPPO A5s will be available on Amazon Flipkart, Snapdeal, Tata CLiQ, PayTM Mall and all offline stores.

With a 6.2-inch LCD waterdrop screen, 19:9 aspect ratio and a 1520x720-pixel resolution, OPPO A5s’ screen design draws its inspiration from a water droplet on the verge of falling. From gaming to watching videos to just plain web browsing, users can enjoy an unparalleled, immersive experience.

The texture of the mirror-finish back cover offers a premium finish, while its surface picks up streams of light to create a stunning visual experience. For greater visual impact, OPPO A5s also utilizes a frosted texture design for its middle frame, creating a sharp contrast with its rear mirror finish. The OPPO A5s series comes in two colours black and red.

OPPO A5s is the first smartphone launched in India which is built with a MediaTek Helio P35 processor. The MediaTek Helio P35 is an octa-core chipset built on TSMC’s advanced 12nm FinFET node. The processor is powered by IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU running up to a speedy 680MHz. The MediaTek Helio P35 is backed by a hardware depth engine that enables OPPO A5s to capture professional-grade Depth of Field (Bokeh) effects which helps capture incredible results. It is also paired to the Rolling Shutter Compensation (RSC), which cleverly mitigates warped (‘jello effect’) video when capturing fast action or panning.

Powered by a 4230mAh large-capacity battery, OPPO A5s supports up to 13.5 hours of video playback, thanks to AI algorithm optimisation and a low power-consumption MTK6765 processor. Its 2.3GHz CPU and 2GB RAM enables several applications to run seamlessly at the same time, effectively eliminating freezing and serving multiple user scenarios. OPPO A5s also comes with a rear fingerprint scanner, allowing users to unlock their devices quickly and securely in a mere 0.35 seconds.

OPPO A5s is packed with an 8MP front camera and F2.0 aperture. The front camera offers more natural and personalised beautification options, delivering selfies in a flash. At the back, the OPPO A5s is equipped with 13MP+2MP dual rear camera, which enables portrait photography for its users. The primary camera uses a 5P lens to precisely control the light path, which creates a sharper image. Meanwhile, the multi-frame anti-shake technology ensures a smoother, more stable video shooting experience.

OPPO A5s runs on the streamlined ColorOS 5.2.1. The device comes with some intelligent as well as convenient features such as Smart Bar, Music on Display, Video Editing, and more.  Smart Bar is a productivity tool and one of the standout features in OPPO A5s that allows users to quickly switch between applications, reply to text messages, and transfer files while playing games or watching videos. It also supports multiple shortcut tools, such as cutting and screen recording, making life and works more efficient. Smart Scan and Smart Bar are two stand-out functions of OPPO A5s. Smart Scan scans business cards to easily transform paper business cards into electronic ones. It also supports scan and image translation, providing invaluable assistance when travelling abroad.
