Airtel and Celkon launch 4G smartphone for Rs 1,249

This is the second device from Celkon under the partnership and the most affordable in the range offered by Airtel and its partners.

The device sports a 4-inch display and is powered by a 1.3 GhZ quad core processor backed by 512MB RAM and 4Gb of internal storage which is expandable up to 32GB via microSD card.

Bharti Airtel and Celkon have announced that they will offer the Star 4G+ smartphone to customers at a price of Rs 1,249 under Airtel’s ‘Mera Pehla Smartphone’ initiative. This is the second device from Celkon under the partnership and the most affordable in the range offered by Airtel and its partners. 

As part of its ‘Mera Pehla Smartphone’ initiative, Airtel plans to collaborate with multiple device manufacturers to bring smartphones to the market at the price of a feature phone.

The Celkon Star 4G+ sports a 4-inch display and is powered by a 1.3 GhZ quad core processor backed by 512MB RAM and 4Gb of internal storage which is expandable up to 32GB via microSD card.

It comes equipped with a 3.2MP rear camera, while there is a 2MP camera upfront. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS and it is fuelled by a 1800mAh battery.
