As opposed to the earlier rumour that Huawei would launch the world’s first smartphone with 6GB of RAM, Chinese smartphone manufacturer Vivo has taken the crown. In a recent teaser Vivo confirmed that its flagship of the year Xplay 5 will feature 6GB of RAM and will be launched on March 1, 2016.
The Xplay 5 will sport a dual-edge quad-HD display, and will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset. It will feature a 16MP primary camera and an 8MP secondary camera in the front. The smartphone will be fuelled by a powerful 4,300mAh battery.
However, the smartphone’s sales will most probably be limited to China. Nothing has been confirmed about the Vivo Xplay 5’s price range as of now.
