Alcatel launches its Pop Star' smartphone in India
The new device features a curved back cover, gives the phone elegant slim edges with a sturdy hold grip.
New Delhi: Alcatel on Monday announced the launch of its new smartphone range, the ‘POP STAR’. The 5-inch Pop Star, part of the mobile brand’s POP series and is uniquely positioned to boost the all new POP lineup.
The new device features a curved back cover, gives the phone elegant slim edges with a sturdy hold grip. According to the company, the fully laminated HD IPS display offers 75 per cent less light reflection for excellent readability under sunlight and a 160-degree wide-viewing angle.
Under the hood, the device comes along with a Quad Core 64 bit 1.0 GHz processor coupled with 1GB RAM, and 8GB internal memory, which can be extended to 32GB via an external microSD card. The handset runs on Android’s Lollipop (V5.1) OS, which is fast disappearing from the market.
In terms of camera, it features a 8MP primary camera, which is decent for clicking normal pictures. The handset also incorporates a 5MP front snapper for senfies and video-calling. It comes with support for most regular connectivity options such as Bluetooth, WiFi, and GPS.The Pop Star is backed up by a 2,000mAh battery.
The all new POP STAR range is a highly customizable device where in the smartphone users will be spoilt for choices with wild colors and psychedelic designs of the Funky Collection. A more classic look with the Metal Sliver and total glamour with the Metal Gold are also available.
Currently, the Pop Star is available for purchase in India at a price of Rs 6999.
