Apple's iPhone X will run into big trouble ahead: Report
A video leaked recently shows how the iPhone X can face critical app problems, at least during the initial stage.
The Apple iPhone X will soon be hitting the market shelves and the pre-orders for the device don’t seem to stop. Amidst the entire buzz, there are still questions to be answered regarding certain features of this highly anticipated smartphone.
The biggest concern being the way the notch (the bar at the top of the display) impacts the user interface of certain apps. A video leaked recently shows how the iPhone X can face critical app problems, at least during the initial stage.
The video shows Instagram running on the new iPhone X, and the notch has a dramatic impact on the interface of the app. Developers have already raised concerns regarding the impact of the notch on the apps, especially without the layout updates that are specifically for the iPhone X.
The video clearly shows how unaligned the top of the app looks, which means the developers will have to roll out to render their app’s UI correctly on the iPhone X. There are also concerns about the smaller developers pushing updates to their apps, considering bigger apps such as Instagram is yet to receive the update.
This isn’t the first time when the company faced such issues with its device. Both iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus faced UI issues due their new screen sizes, because all apps were optimised for smaller screen size. If Apple learned something from its previous mistakes, then it might already be working on the new updates.
