Apple: Why you can’t play PUBG and Fortnite on iOS 13
iPhone gamers who play PUBG and Fortnite regularly might want to refrain from updating just yet.
iOS gamers who are fans of popular battle royale titles PUBG and Fortnite will not be able to enjoy the games on Apple’s latest iOS update. New text-editing gestures which come to iOS 13 as a feature, actually makes shooting games like these unplayable.
The gestures, which include three-finger touches on the screen, bring up options to cut, copy and paste. Games like PUBG and Fortnite where most players use two thumbs to control the player’s movements and a third for actions like shooting suffer because of the feature. The actions with three fingers pull up the text editing options on the screen and ruin the play.
As of now, there is no way to disable the features in-game. Makers of both titles have acknowledged the problem and the games bring up notifications on the screen which make you aware of the issue. But that doesn’t help with the game itself which is still unplayable.
iPhone gamers who play PUBG and Fortnite regularly might want to refrain from updating just yet. The titles are two very big ones, and Apple is probably working on a fix/patch right now. It should release soon, but until then, users who have updated to iOS 13 will have to just wait it out.
