Xiaomi's new Mi Pad 4 with SD 660 SoC unveiled
The company had unveiled its budget tablet in China featuring an 8-inch full HD IPS display.
Xiaomi has unveiled a new Mi Pad 4 tablet in China, it is believed to be the successor of its previous iteration Mi Pad 3, which was launched last year. The company has unveiled the Mi Pad 4 in Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi+LTE variants.
The Mi Pad 4 features an 8-inch full HD IPS display with a 16:10 aspect ratio. It is built on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC clocked at 2.2GHz. The SoC is paired up with 3GB of RAM, 32GB of onboard storage and also supports microSD expansion. While the Wi-Fi variant gets 3GB of RAM, the LTE model gets 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. As for the cameras, on the rear, it features a 13MP camera with an aperture of f/2.0 and HDR support. The front gets a 5MP camera with an aperture of f/2.0. The Mi Pad 4 packs a 6000mAh battery and lastly, it runs on an Android Oreo-based MIUI.
On the connectivity front, the Mi Pad 4 supports Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0 and USB Type-C. It also features a 3.5mm headphone jack.
As for the pricing, there are two models in Wi-Fi models – 3GB+32GB is priced at 1099 yuan (approx. Rs 11,500), 4GB+64GB is priced at 1399 yuan (Rs 14,600 approx.) and lastly, the Wi-Fi+LTE model comes in 4GB+64GB variant priced at 1499 yuan (Rs 15,600 approx.). All these models feature in Black and Gold colour variants.
