Apple is just days away from unveiling its much anticipated iPhone 8 and the rumours still haven’t stopped pouring in. The device has already been tipped to have the wireless charging option but there is hasn’t been any concrete information about the feature.

Now a report from TNW states that Allen Fung, GM of mobile accessory maker RAVPower, himself confirming that wireless charging is coming to the iPhone 8.

“Our sources tell us the next iPhones have special technology for wireless charging that we have in this charger. Our wireless charger will wirelessly charge the next iPhones at full speed, as well as being able to charge other mobile devices wirelessly,” said Fung.

There are also indications that the company would use the Qi standard, however it will come with few tweaks. The Apple Watch also uses Qi wireless charging, but Apple locked it down, meaning it cannot be used with standard Qi chargers and this will most likely happen in case of the iPhone 8 as well.

The iPhone 8 is also said to feature fast charging, a feature seen on many android smartphones launched in recent past. But it is yet to be determined how fast this tech will work. If the rumours are to be believed, the iPhone 8 will be launched on September 12 at its annual event.
