Samsung launched Samsung Finance+ a universally accessible digital lending platform to provide financing opportunity to prospective consumers today. Presently it said that the feature will be available only for galaxy smartphones and is present at over 5,000 stores in 30 cities in the country.
Fully digital, to use the platform one has to log on to the in-store Samsung Finance+ application on a Galaxy Tab. After filling in their personal details for a KYC verification and credit scoring, they will get an offer screen on various Galaxy smartphones. Based on those details, every customer should get at least some sort of an offer on a galaxy smartphone of their choice, according to Samsung.
For the launch of this platform in India, the tech giant has partnered with DMI Finance while it was designed and developed by the Samsung R&D institute India in Bengaluru to suit the Indian market. DMI finance is a pan-India credit platform.
Samsung also said that it has plans on expanding support for the platform to 10,000 of such outlets in 100 cities, by the end of the year, it said in a statement.
