Apple users need to download these software updates to fix jailbreak vulnerability
These updates are small in size (merely 101MB for iOS and 55MB for the Apple watchOS) and are totally recommended to be installed.
Apple has released software updates – iOS 12.4.1 and watchOS 5.3.1 for its mobile devices and smart wearables. These updates have been pushed for fixing major security issues on Apple devices.
These updates are small in size (merely 101MB for iOS and 59MB for the Apple watchOS) and are totally recommended to be installed. They have been rolled out to provide important security and stability updates.
More importantly, the update patch also covers a major vulnerability that apparently allowed jailbreaking on an iOS device. However, it was actually patched in the previous version of the iOS 12 but was reopened recently.
The updates must have already come in your respective Apple devices, but in case they haven’t, you can download them manually following these simple steps below:
- Go to Settings
- Go to General
- Go to Software updates
And for the Apple watchOS update:
- Go to Apple Watch app
- My watch
- Tap on General
- Software update
After following these steps, you may need to enter your passcode. After that, the download will start and will be installed on your device.
